Description

Six machine-dug trenches 1.8m wide and 48m length overall, plus two 1m square test pits, together comprising a 2% sample of the area proposed for development. Archaeological deposits were revealed that were directly related to the former pottery works, including cob and brick structures and gulleys, and substantial amounts of ceramic finds.
