Description

An Iron Age site discovered during water main trenching by the Bournemouth Gas and Water Company in Romney Road, Ensbury Park, in July 1935. Calkin visited the site and collected some finds including Early Iron Age pottery, baked clay loomweights , burnt daub, hammerstones and lumps of ironstone. There was no time or opportunity for further investigation. (1) (2)
