Description

Archaeological monitoring of groundworks was carried out by Southern Archaeological Services during development of the former Critchcraft warehouse. Two medieval pits and a linear feature dated to the 12th-13th centuries. An undated chalk-lined well and another undated pit and a modern brick structure were also recorded. A remnant of podzol may indicate Bronze Age land use. (1)
