Description
The archaeological desk-based assessment was commissioned by Lightsource Renewable Energy Limited as part of a proposal for development of the land as a Solar Farm. The site lay in an agricultural field 1.5km west of Gillingham consisting of 4.36 ha. The assessment brought together the available archaeological, topographic and land use information to clarify the archaeological potential of the site. A site inspection was carried out. There was little likelihood of the development harming any significant heritage assets.
