Description
An archaeological evaluation on the site of a proposed housing development at the rear of 35-37 Blandford Road, Hamworthy was carried out by AC archaeology during February 2007. It consisted of the machine-excavation of two trial pits. Both contained the same sequence of soils. One was disturbed by a modern soakaway but the other contained a shallow linear gully of probable Romano-British date which contained fragments of early Romano-British pottery. No other Roman finds or features were present. (1)
