Description
Evaluation of the site of proposed new residential development comprising the machine excavation of a trial trench and one hand-dug trial pit, approximately 2% of the development area. A well-defined bank and possible platform at the east end of the site, adjacent to Church Lane were shown to be modern. The results of the investigation indicated a low to negligible potential for the presence of significant archaeological deposits within the development area.
