Description
AC Archaeology was commissioned to carry out a desk-based survey investigating the site of a proposed vestry extension at St Mary's Church, Lytchett Matravers. Its results are based on observations made during a site visit, followed by investigations at the Dorset Sites and Monuments Record Office in Dorchester, and the Wiltshire Record Office in Trowbridge. It appears likely that the archaeological record of the area of the proposed vestry extension will only be revealed by means of field investigation.
