Description

The Dorset County Council Archaeological Service carried out observations and recording during groundworks at Wisteria Cottage. This was due to its location in the historic core of Hermitage, and the proximity of Church Farm, the site of a priory. Sections of the foundation trench were observed, and these showed 0.2m of topsoil overlay clay subsoil. No archaeological features or artefacts were seen during observations.
