Description

Monitoring of groundworks for the first phase of residential development at Brookside Farm, formerly Leigh Dairy. No evidence for below-ground archaeological features was observed, the site having been disturbed by construction of the agricultural buildings. The site is situated on the floodplain of the river Stour, and worked flint was collected from the gravel alluvium. No building recording was undertaken.
