Description

The Shaftesbury and District Archaeological Group carried out observation and recording during development, having previously undertaken a small exploratory excavation. This revealed a feature, identified as a pit. Two areas of human remains were exposed when the footings for the extension was dug, suggesting this was the site of a graveyard.
