Description

A geophysical survey carried out by Stratascan for Chris Romain Architecture prior to the construction of a two-storey extension to a listed Georgian building. The aim of the survey was to locate any foundations or services in the site and assess the depth of these features and also record any archaeology present. The two complementary techiques of resistivity and ground probing radar were employed. Survey revealed a complex arrangement of services and structural features beneath the ground surface, interpreted as likely to be associated with the former health centre and the Georian house.
