Description

ASI Heritage Consultants conducted an archaeological evaluation on land immediately south of the farm buildings at Chantry Farm during June 2005. Inspection of geotechnic trial pits and excavation of a trageted archaeological trench demonstrated that the paddock south of the farm buildings encompasses peripheral archaeological features of the Chantry Fields medieval settlement complex. The results of previous campaigns suggests that these features are of low archaeological potential.
