Description
A single machine trial trench was excavated on the flattest part of the site of the development known as St Andrew's Meadow in 1996. This was excavated by the Dorset County Council Archaeology Service as the site is locally thought to be the site of a Civil War cemetery. The trench revealed a single amorphous feature, perhaps the base of a pit and two sherds of medieval pottery.
