Description

Many years ago, a burial was uncovered in the quarry north of Quarr lane near a shed (ST 63531778). It was reburied nearby. Rumour says “lead bullet in the skull”. Mapped as a point on Quarr Lane, there were at least two quarries to the north of this lane with sheds.
