Description

Keith Jarvis observed a 3m deep trench at Place Mill during 1987. This revealed an undated stone revetment of rounded water-worn boulders 0.6m in diameter and at a depth of 2-3m. This appears to be a bank between the sea and the mill stream and could be medieval or later in date.
