Description

Poole Museums Service Archaeological Unit were commissioned by Wessex Water to conduct an archaeological assessment in the playing fields of Twynham School prior to the construction of a water tank and sewers. The work consisted of two hand dug test-pits and the pre-excavation of the tank site to the archaeological level. No features were encountered and a subsequent watching brief confirmed that the project had not damaged any discernible archaeological material. The archive is lodged with Poole Museum Service under the reference PMO48.
