Description

Wessex Archaeology undertook a programme of archaeological evaluation and excavation along the line of the A37 Western Link road in advance of road construction, between Autumn 1987 to March 1988. Trench Q was a machine-cut trial trench dug in the base of Fordington Bottom. It was cut through a very pronounce positive lynchet running NE-SW. The section through this lynchet was recorded. No other archaeological features were noted.
