Description

Wessex Archaeology undertook a programme of archaeological evaluation and excavation along the line of the A37 Western Link road in advance of road construction, between Autumn 1987 to March 1988. Trench M was a machine-cut trial trench dug in the base of Fordington Bottom. It was cut through a deep colluvial sequence. The section through the colluvial deposit was recorded in detail. No archaeological features were recorded.
