Description

The Royal Commission on Historical Monuments conducted an architectural survey of the Barn, 39 St. Georges Road, Dorchester on 18 June 1980 [1]. An 18th to early 19th century long house. The house is of hammer-dressed stone whilst the barn is of rubble, both have brick dressings with a pitched slate roof. The house has three ranges of segment-headed casements with glazing bars. The barn was extended to the south in the mid 19th century using hammer-dressed stone [2].
