Description

Grey's Bridge, carrying London Road over the River Frome, is a stone ashlar structure of three unequal spans built in 1748; the name and date are cut in an original tablet set in the parapet wall. The round arches have moulded archivolts and spring from restored cutwaters. The plain parapet wall has weathered coping and a square returned wing walls. The site was surveyed by 'J.G.B' of the Ordnance Survey Archaeological Division on the 10 January 1980. His field notes are recorded on the NMR Monument Report as follows: No change [1].
