Description
A site visit was conducted by J. Rigg of the Ordnance Survey Archaeological Division on the 1 September 1954 at the site of Excavations directed by P.A.M. Keef in 1948 and R.A.H. Farrar in 1949 at Colliton Park, Dorchester. His site notes are recorded in the OS record card as follows.
Col. Drew, Curator of the County Museum drew a sketch map of the site, which was located and surveyed. It is now covered by a wall flanked on either side by lawns and flower gardens [1].
