Description
Cellar to the Great Western Camping shop at 28 High East Street, Dorchester was visited by Val Dicker and David Ashford. A brief sketch plan and photographs of salient features were taken.
Modern stairs down in east side, old stairs to North. SW part has tiled floor, the rest has an earth floor.
The cellar is rectangular with timber beams on ceiling and stairs in SE corner. An alcove in SW part and a ?fireplace on east wall. There is an opening to the street in the NE and two chutes in the north centre and NW.
