Description

Cellar to Connells estate agents at 3 High West Street, Dorchester was visited by Val Dicker and David Ashford. A brief sketch plan and photographs of salient features were taken. The cellar is L-shaped with brick barrel vault roof. There is a blast wall at one end and a funnel to the open air. An emergency exit to the rear is blocked. A low wooden bench runs along one wall. This cellar may have been used as an air raid shelter in World War II.
