Description

A field survey was conducted at the site of a probable medieval field system, Dorchester by J. Rigg. of the Ordnance Survey Archaeological Division on the 13 September 1954. His field notes are recorded on the OS record card as follows. "Centred at SY67459124. See AP RAF CPE/UK/2431/3132. The vague suggestion of parallel strip lynchets on the northern slopes of a hill and bounded by a field bank, under grass and almost ploughed out." (1) These remains have been completely ploughed out (2).
