Description

A field survey was conducted on the site of the former Trinity School, Dorchester by J. Rigg of the Ordnance Survey Archaeological Division on the 19 August 1954. His field notes are recorded on the OS record card as follows. I have spoken to a man whose father was headmaster of the school and I have an old print which shows its position. It was completely taken down many years ago, but was a free school: Blue Coat. Modern houses occupy the site. No trace of antiquity was found (1).
