Description

A field survey was conducted on the site of Napper's or Napier's Mite Almshouses by J. Rigg. of the Ordnance Survey Archaeological Division on the 18 May 1954. His field notes are recorded on the OS record card as follows. Napier’s Mite. 1616 (visual date stone) is a stone built almshouse in the process of being cleaned and internally reconstructed for use as commercial premises. [1]
