Description

A field survey was conducted on 'The Two Barrows' barrow site, Dorchester, by J Rigg. Of the Ordnance Survey Archaeological Division on the 21 August 1954. His field notes are recorded on the OS record card as follows. A boundary stone has been erected upon the grass-covered site. No certain traces of barrows remain though a slight and indefinite mound exists under the pathway 8.0 m to the south. [1]
