Description
Jo Draper observed contractor's excavations behind the Congregational Church, South Street, Dorchester during July and August 1981. The groundworks comprised trenches along the north and south sides of a plot at the rear of the congregational church, and smaller holes in the centre of the plot. These all showed massive late 19th century disturbances down to the natural chalk.
