Description

Steve Wallis of the Dorset County Council Archaeology Service visited during the digging of foundation trenches for a new house at the rear of 1 Wyvern Road, Dorchester(now 146 Poundbury Road) in August 1996. Much of the topsoil had been cleared from the site prior to the digging of the footings. The topsoil appeared to directly overlie natural chalk. No archaeological finds or features were recorded.
