Description

This barrow was excavated by Cunnington in 1864. He found a N-S aligned inhumation lying about 4ft above the original ground surface, with a nearby cremation. Archive relating to this excavation is in the Cunnington MSS which is held in the Museum Library (Cunnington No.3).
