Description

Two extended skeletons were found in 1903 in clearing the ground for the New Compasses Inn, The Grove, Dorchester. They were extended in different directions and with them were two restorable vessels, one a 1st-early 2nd century bowl donated to the museum; the other of brownish ware and three inches high, not in the museum. Moule thought the site lay within the Town ditch [1].
