Description

This barrow is though to have been opened in 1880 by antiquarian Edward Cunnington, who found ashes, presumably the remains of a cremation burial. NRHE: This excavation is detailed in Cunnington's MSS which is held in the Library of Dorset County Museum, (Cunnington No.13).
