Description

Two or more inhumation burials were found in December 1895 in the Borough Gardens. These were apparently discovered in the soil above the chalk and one was apparently buried face downwards. A number of bronze objects, including a nail cleaner, an armlet and a brooch, were apparently associated with one of these burials (1).
