Description
A burial, said to be extended N to S was found about the centre of 1 Casterbridge Road . The grave was in a trench or fissure 5ft wide and here at least 14ft deep. The grid reference for this find given in the RCHME Inventory is 70578988, but a different grid refernce is given for this burial in the Dorset Proceedings (70448992) where it is mentioned that substantial pieces of several Durotrigian vessels were found with the burial.
