Description
Intermittent observations were made by Laurence Keen during the construction of the Acland Court Development, probably during 1981. Very little archaeology was observed and this was mainly in the eastern part of the site. A number of cuts into the chalk were found, together with a few other small features, but little that made coherent sense. A small area of cobbling was noted near the eastern edge of the site. No finds were retained.(1)
