Evaluation carried out prior to determination of a planning application for the construction of housing on the site. Trenches 2.2m wide and length 394m overall were excavated by machine. A consistent sequence of layers was identified in the majority of trenches and no archaeological features or deposits were present. Also, only a small quantity of artefacts was recovered which are of prehistoric through to modern date.
