Description

A 13th or early 14th century jug was found by a schoolboy in the newly made south bank of the Stour opposite Chaw Meadow. It was sticking out of the mud of the bank, which had been deposited by a mechanical grab by the double action of dumping dredged material and then distributing it along the bank. (1)
