Description

A watching brief and salvage excavations were undertaken by the Dorset Institute of Higher Education (DIHE, now Bournemouth University) Archaeology Unit in 1986, during the redevelopment of the former Star Garage, East Street, Bridport. Foundations of several post-medieval buildings were discovered, together with an elaborate series of drains. No medieval features were recorded.
