2. 1837. Former lodge to Belmont House, developed together with "Portville" by Samuel Gundry junior, one of the twine manufacturing dynasty. Colour washed brick. Pitched roof with hexagonal slates. Cut bargeboads and elabortate finials. 1 storey. Casements with fancy glazing bars and hoodmoulds. Wooden entrance porch with lean-to slate roof, door with 2 round headed panels; 8 quatrefoil lights, and Gothick balustrade applied to exterior below dado level.
Nos 48 to 56 (even), The coachhouses and stables of Nos 48 to 56 the dwarf wall and gates to the front gardens, of Nos 48 to 62, No 62, No 64 and No 64A form a group.
