Description

SY 3693 CHARMOUTH THE STREET, NORTH SIDE 8/26 Bow House 5.9.60 G.V. II Attached house. C18 and C19 re-facing to possibly earlier structure. Stone walls, rendered. Thatch roof with gable ends. 2 rendered brick stacks, left of centre and at right hand gable. Projecting stack on right end wall. 2 storeys. 4 windows: canted bays to left and right include sashes with marginal glazings. Rest are wide sash windows, possibly an Cl8 re-fashioning of stone mullion openings. Casement window left of front door with lozenge leads. Front door, right of centre, flush-panelled with top lights over. Plain wooden door-case with dentil cornice over. Cast iron surround in a trellis-pattern of lozenges, lancets and saltires, early C19. Outshut at rear, rubble with a Roman-tiled roof. Listing NGR: SY3665893701
