Description
1. HIGH EAST STREET 5l91 (North Side) No 40 SY 6990 7/232 II GV 2. Apparently C19, but datestone of 1762 found. Brown brick with red brick voussoirs. Side walls of Ridgeway or Portland rubble. Pitched slate roof. 3 storeys and attics. 3 ranges of sashes with glazing bars. 2 attic dormers with sashes and glazing bars. C19 shopfront. Nos 35 to 43 (consec), and No 39A and 39B, and Arch between Nos 40 and 41 and British Legion Headquarters form a group.
