Description
LITTLE BRITAIN 1. 5l9l (South Side) Barn between Nos 5 and 6 SY 6990 4/263 II 2. Probably C17: possibly older. North part added in C18 or early C19. Coursed Ridgeway rubble. North part has red brick dressings. Pitched corrugated iron roof, concealing thatch. Red brick barn porch on west side. South part has various slits, 2 planked stable doors with loft doors over,1 large rubble buttress. North part has 1 red brick buttress. R.C.H.M. thinks that it may have been connected with the Churchill family whose house stood "in that part of Fordington called Britain".
