HIGH STREET 1. 5190 (north side) The Anchor Inn SZ 0378 NW 5/56 II GV
2. Probably C17 origin. Rendered walls. Purbeck Stone roof. In 3 sections. Centre section 3 storeys high, side sections 2-storeys. (These do not exactly match in design.) Western section has flush panelled door under a gabled hood. One double-hung sash window on each floor. Centre section has one double-hung sash window on the ground floor. First floor has a projecting curved end bow window with double-hung sashes with glazing bars and a flat roof. Second floor has 2 double-hung sashes with glazing bars. Eastern section has a door with semi-circular fanlight under a gabled porch, and one double-hung sash window on the ground floor. One double-hung sash window with glazing bars to first floor.
