Farmhouse and attached farm cottage. Probably C18. Rubble stone walls - front wall plastered. Stone slate roofs, stone end stacks. 2 storeys. Double-pile plan of 2 parallel ranges. Gabled stone porch with ledged door. Ground floor has 2 casement windows with glazing bars, first floor has 3 similar windows. The rear (former service) range now a separate cottage. This has, in end gable, date-stone "AD 1847" - probably date of conversion to a school (RCHM). RCHM Monument 9 (Dorset Vol (II).
