Detached house. C18. Southern section may be slightly later. Plastered cob walls, thatched roof, brick stacks. One storey and attics. Main front elevation has three horizontally sliding sash windows with glazing bars on ground floor. Attic has two half-dormers with similar sashes. Lean-to rear extension with brick walls and pantile roof contains present entrance - ledged door. Note. Nos 82 and 83 Blacknoll, are the two surviving houses representing C18 encroachment on the south edge of Winfrith Heath. Each original consisted of a cottage and garden, and paddock. The other cottages have been demolished or rebuilt in recent years.
