CORFE CASTLE WEST STREET (East side) SY 95 81 8/152 No. 67 GV II Detached cottage. Probably C17. Rubble stone walls, thatched roof, plastered stack at left end and one left of door, stone stack at right end. One storey and attic. 3-room and cross-passage plan. Front wall buttressed. C20 battened door. Ground floor has 3 C20 casements with lead lights. Attic has 3 dormers with similar casements. At rear, a 2-storey extension with plastered walls and thatched roof, and a single-storey flat-roofed extension. Room right of cross- passage, and central room (hall) have large open fireplaces with timber lintols. (RCHM, Monument 97. Dorset. Vol. II). Listing NGR: SY9591681682
