Detached house. C18. Plastered cob walls, patched in brick, thatched roof, brick stack. Small cottage of two-room plan. One storey and attic. Porch with corrugated asbestos roof and ledged door. Ground floor has one metal window. Attic has one half-dormer with horizontally sliding sashes with glazing bars. Corrugated iron lean-tos each end, with ledged doors, Main ground floor room has large open fireplace with timber lintel. Largely unaltered. Note. Nos 82 and 83. Blacknoll, are the two surviving houses representing C18 encroachment on the south edge of Winfrith Heath. Each originally consisted of a cottage and garden, and paddock. The other cottages have been demolished or rebuilt in recnet years.
