9/127 Worth Matravers Post Office and Village Store (formerly listed as 20-11-59 "House 20 yards west of Bridles and adjoining Gulliver Cottage")

Cottage with attached shop. Probably C18 - shop C20. Cottage at right angles to road. Rubble stone walls - end wall plastered. Stone slate roof, stone end stack. 2 storeys and attics. C20 lean-to at front with stone slate roof. West (left) wall has one C20 metal window on ground floor. First floor has one casement window with glazing bars. Attic has 2 pent-roofed dormers with casements. Shop single-storeyed,has stone walls and stone slate roof. C20 shop window. Internally, main ground floor room has large open fireplace with timber lintol and remains of bread oven. RCHM Monument 6 (Dorset Vol II).
