SY 97NW 10/162 KIMMERIDGE Stables and Coach Houses at Smedmore House
II
Stable and coach house range. C18. Stone walls, hipped stone slate roof. U-shaped range with stables in centre and coach houses in wings. One storey and attics. Main, north, front has a central archway through the building, with a rusticated round-headed arch with pediment over. Coach houses have large timber doors. No windows on ground floor. Attic has two gabled dormers. South front similar, but has round-headed windows on ground floor. Signs of built-up openings in east wall, divided by a circular stone column. Interior retains some old stable fittings. RCHM Monumnent 4.
