CORFE CASTLE WEST STREET (West side) SY 95 81 8/177 No. 106 GV II
Semi-detached cottage. Dated 1741. Rubble stone walls, stone slate roof, brick end stacks. One storey and attic. Front wall buttressed. Ledged door with small glass panel, under flat arch. Ground floor has 2 casements with centre horizontal bar, under flat arches. Attic has 2 pent-roofed dormers with similar casements. C20 lean-to garage at left end. Internally, main ground floor room has large open fireplace with curved timber lintol. (RCHM, Monument 102. Dorset. Vol. II). A National Trust property.
